Great adaption of the existing series but lacks fine tuning

Need for spped : rivals. Midnight club 3. Toca race driver 2.Formula 1...What have all of these titles got in commoon???....They've all been on the PSP and are all racing titles of some sort. From street racing to Formula 1 driving - The PSP has plenty of racers to choose from - and thats what gives most wanted even more to aspire to...let alone the pressure of the release of the same title on it's older console cousins.
So, we've setablished that most wanted has alot to prove. Mainly that the need for speed franchise can handle the PSP's complex systematics. This title has to be something special...
Well, lets just say that it tried valiantly, and almost made it, but only just fell at the finish line. This is due to only a slight few engine failiures.
Firstly, the black list feature which basically challenges you to 'own' ( BEAT ) all 15 black list street racers. It seems all good but after the first 6 racers or so you realize the lack of depth within the number of challenges that each racer challenges you to complete in order to a race off against the boss. It is the same thing over and again. Basic time trials, cop chases, and knockout races. It is a good idea but one that lacks...variety.
Anyway, onto the positives. Great graphics, superb controls and gameplay and an interesting array of pocket trax.
Without going into too much detail, this game is great for the racing gamer and will appeal to most gamers but will not impress greatly to those who are used to the need for speed basis.
