NFS Hot Pursuit 2 + NFS Underground 2 + magic = Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

If there was a top 5 list of PS2 racing games, NFS Most Wanted would definitely land there. NFS Underground 2 did bring some hype into the series after #1 and Hot Pursuit 2. Most Wanted is exactly a mix of the two. Brilliant graphics and excellent sound effects make it feel like you're in the game. You can make your opponents the laughing stock of the streets by making your car as hot as ever, by adding spoilers, body kits and new rims on your car. It's like the movie Torque all in one game.Oh and, by the way, the cops don't joke around. As the car that your driving gets more attention by the cops, your "fire level" rises, which forces the cops to put more pressure on you. They'll start placing spikes or calling in the helicopter, like Hot Pursuit 2. If you got the smarts, you can lose 'em. The 'pursuit breakers' are the best addition. You can knock down things like boat hangers and gasoline pumps to destroy cop cars. The racing aspect is a bit too easy at first because you always win, but it does get a little harder. Oh yeah, the storyline couldn't get any better. Overall NFS: Most Wanted is beautiful in every aspect and it should definitely be added to everybodys game shelf.
