Hmmm... Not bad. but not too good either.

The game plays well. looks lovely. lasts long. but bores the hell out of the player which isnt good.
uhm... where to start...
The tuning system seems a tad messed up ,you have to race to get more parts but then when you buy a new car , you have to unlock more parts. On the plus side this system seems to motivate you to keep playing through the rather tiresome campaign mode as does the prospect of Ad-hoc and online play.
I beleieve what this game is lacking is speed. no matter how fast your car goes there is never a REAL feeling of speed which leads to boredom.

The police was a nice touch , until they begin to screw you over.
As you race you get a kind of 'wanted meter' increasing , which leads to the police giving chase to you , and usually you only. They do occasionally chase the other players but this is veryvery rare and they'll often zip past your rivals and use a pit manouver on your car. 3 seconds stuck next to the police car and you're busted - not fun when he rams you into a corner. Along with the polce there are also police roadblocks set up in the most awkward positions to catch you out and bust your ass.

im beginning to waffle now. so ill bulletpoint all the other points.
- Speedbreaker (aka bullettime) , strange feature for a racing game but it comes in useful sometimes
-Small loadtimes , always a plus.
-long storymode. it'll keep you for some time if you can be bothered with it.
-police like to screw you over right at the end of a 7minute race. NOT COOL.
-Sexy CGI movie at the start
-Music is fairly decent ,has rock / rap / technoish

aaaaand i think thats everything.
=-= you're probably better off with burnout legends for your racing fix =-=

End.
