Need For Speed Most Wanted 5-1-0 for the PSP is a very disappointing game. First the career mode has no free roam or cutscenes. It still features the 15 driver Blacklist like the console versions did but without cutscenes career mode seems long and boring. The car selection is very shrunken and there are about 16 total cars to choose from. Once you get into career mode the game becomes even more boring with long races. Some tracks are about 3 minutes long and with 3 laps these events can last nearly 10 minutes. Since every race in career mode is on a circuit the majority of the races will take this long. Even worse during the races the cops are ridiculous. They will spin you and set up permanent(at least for the duration of the race) roadblocks and the roadblocks are always in the worse possible spots like right after a sharp turn or coming up or down a steep hill. Racing cars and trying to avoid overaggressive cops for 10 minutes gets old after a while. The only fun thing about this game is the tuner takedown mode. You get to drive cop cars and takedown other race cars in the time limit. There are over 10 levels of this and unlockable cop cars. This is the only thing that keeps this game from getting a lower rating than a 6. With a small car selection, limited and repetitive tracks and overaggressive cops this is a very disappointing NFS game and I would recommend NFS Carbon Own the City to anyone who needs a Need For Speed PSP game.
