The prodigal son of the NFS series makes it final debut on the GBA.

User Rating: 8.9 | Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed GBA
Years after its release on PS1 and PC (I have the PC version also), this game finally comes to us in the form of a GBA game. Although some parts have lost its luster, the game still holds well on its own. If you have played the other versions, then you are familiar with this one: RACE. Just get to the finish line before the other cars do. Sometimes that seems almost impossible, others its too easy. The graphics are beefy. Though only a few small fragments are not there, this game has had a lot more time to prepare for its coming out than NFS: UG. UG was rushed and people ate it up. Idiots. DSI took its time and produced a game thats well put together. Ive played UG on the GBA, sometimes you can see through walls. Not good. In Porsche Unleashed its all stable, no invisible walls, and no annoying traffic to run in to. The sound is excellent. The music has been taken straight from the other games. And it even includes a remix of Metrognome (I think) in the Alps level. And hey, you dont have to listen to Li'l John's incessant ramblings when at the menu. The only annoying sounds are the constant tire screeches and the engines are all the same. This game will take you about a good week to finish up with all the races you have to complete. Believe me, it wasnt easy for me. The tracks are all point A to point B with the exception of Monaco. But hey, its still good. I hate the fact that this game has been overshadowed by Underground. If people would actually get away from rice burners, they would see that this game is a helluva lot better than the box actually makes it out to be. Id love it if there were a second game. More car colors and different tracks from the other two versions.
