Need for Speed Prostreet is a very enjoyable racer.
The races are on more tracks and configurations than any other PSP racer to date. After winning races and collecting cash you can customize your engine and chassis plus change the way your car looks. The customization is not as deep as in NFS Rivals but does a decent enough job to make your car look different than the stock counterparts.
Every time I have gone online I can race 11 or 12 races in a row against several different players and up to 4 players at once. Last time I looked at the online leaderboards there are 70+ people online and it grows everyday.
The game looks pretty amazing at times. Best looking NFS on the PSP. There is some blurring when you get going fast to simulate speed but it is never bad enough that it hinders your view. The cars control very well if you ask me, more life like. They seem to move around a little at high speeds the way a real car does.
The only complaint I have with this version of Prostreet is they dropped the drag racing and drift modes. Those modes made for a good departure than just racing tracks all the time.
I would definitely recommend this game to any race fan or NFS fan that remembers the old days of NFS. If you like The Pro Race Driver games or the TOCA series games then you will love this one. If you like night racing and cops in your games then look elsewhere, this is more of a racing sim.
Untill Gran Turismo comes out on PSP this is the next best thing.
