Confused...
This game play is okay...I enjoyed the in car view for a while but found it frustrating if some stupid AI has bashed you up and as a consequence for not moving out of the way of this aggressive AI you cannot see out of your windscreen. I thought that the controls were to sharp. I know people will say its high speed effect but if it is, it's too much. You feel like you are driving on ice! I really enjoyed the time attack mode and races but found the Drift ridiculously frustrating.
The interface is fine; its sleek and the graphics are good. I especially like the wide customisation and upgradability (not that that's a word) of your vehicle although you know its gone over the top when your crappy first tier Volvo is keeping up with high end tier three car. There are so many paint types and decals and other things you can do to your car that you wouldn't stop if money didn't run out.
Speaking of money shortages, MONEY HARDLY EVER RUNS OUT! You earn stupid amounts for hardly anything which gives no incentive to collect cars since when you finish one teir, you already have enough to buy the best car in the tier above.
Another thing not quite right about selling cars is that they always sell for the same price, (or more if you've upgraded it) that you bought it for. If youve completely wrecked this cars engine by high speed racing you wouldn't be likely to get the same price as a new are you now?
I seem to have just rambled on about the bad points of this game so far... thats because the cons outweigh the pros. While being maybe the best in a generally poor NFS series, you cannot compare it too racing sims such as Forza and Gran Turismo. Key word of the review: Frustrating.
