As a Most Wanted fan, I was hoping Undercover would bring back the game play of Most wanted. It did… in a way. Undercover's storyline is outstandingly confusing, and the graphics for the ps2 aren't really as good as the graphics in previous games. The best part about NFS Undercover is the heart stopping cop chases. I mean, the cops are like everywhere man! It's crazy! All those action driving and cop chase lovers would adore this game. You can either dial 911 or you can just find some trouble by crashing into stuff. The race modes are fun, but can get really confusing as you advance through the game. For example in the beginning of the game all there really is is your classic sprint and circuit races. Then there is something called driver jobs were you have to deliver stolen cars to a safe house without too much damage. The car selection… is, well, what you expect from a NFS game but a bit to muscle car heavy for my taste. One of the first things I noticed when I started playing the game is the graphics. I mean, Come on EA, you gotta be kidding. The graphics are literally identical to oh… let's say… the ps1 graphics! The game designers must be getting lazy because these graphics are freakin' ridiculous. I understand that the ps2 isn't the most up-to-date system like the Xbox 360 or ps3 or PC, but I was really let down by the graphics. The sounds are better, but not the best. The music is loud and obnoxious the series usually has. As I was playing the game, I drove by some sights that look completely identical to some of Most Wanted's sights. It's like they just cut and pasted the areas of most wanted up to undercover. Really, what happened after Most Wanted? Carbon's graphics are identical to Underground 2's and it got a bit too much into tuning the car rather than racing and pursuits. Prostreet was the signal that EA was trying to improve the games. The graphics were good, the features were good, and the physics and economics and so on were ok, but the game got too much into racing. There were no cop chases, no free roaming, and no open world races. Then Undercover came out. Everybody got so excited about the new need for speed and then… well, it wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't the best game in the series. Graphically, the game is a big steaming pile of crap, though. I would consider this game to anyone, I guess.
