Need for Speed Underground 2 for Gamecube is a great street racing game. I would reccomend it to fans of the series and people that like customizing cars. +++Gameplay+++ 9/10 Need for Speed Underground 2 is a solid racer and has rather good gameplay. There are four gameplay modes and I'll be talking about the best gameplay mode; career mode. In career mode you play a top-notch racer that gets in a big car accident. You start by moving to Bayfield to build your career back up. You'll start out in a friend's friend's car, then after returning your friend's friend's car you will be able to choose your first car. After that you will drive around the city find races such as Circuit races, Drift matches, Sprint races, and Drag races. After completing more races you'll be able to access more parts of the city and new car parts that you can buy. To buy new parts for the car you'll have to find hidden shops scattered through the city. There are A LOT of parts you can buy. From neons to bumpers, from hoods to spinners. From Spoilers to tires and brakes. There are endless customization feautres. The only three modes are Split Screen multiplayer, quick race, and a customization mode where you can customize cars with an endless budget using parts you've unlocked in Career mode. +++Graphics+++ 8/10 Your car looks incredible and so do the cars around you. The detail is impressive, and the colors are realistic. Although the buildings get sorta repetitive the city is big and the possibilities are bigger. Very real and cool graphics. +++Sound+++ 7/10 The sound is pretty good in NFSU2. The tracks are a mix of rap and hip hop, with some techno and rock thrown in there. You can choose which songs you want to hear in the options menu or just turn off the sound completely. Nothing wrong in the sound department. The cars sound really good, especially when turning and stuff. The crashes are a little dumb with little realism and small sound. +++Replay Value~Difficulty~Length+++ RV:7/10 D:Medium L:pretty long Replay Value: Driving around the city is real fun and doesn't get old quick. Although all of the city driving slows you down if you just want to race. Pretty good Replay Value though. Difficulty: The races get tougher, forcing you to upgrade your cars, although the difficulty is just right. Length: I haven't completed Career mode yet, but from the looks of it, it seem pretty long. Overall This game isn't a must buy driving game for $50. But if you can find it for a cheaper price this might be good to pick up. It is a good rent for driving fans, you'll have a lot of fun customizing your car.
