NFSU 2 is one of the best NFS games to ever hit store shelves. Underground was good but this game significantly improves greatly from the first game. Car customization is great and there are a number of things to customize including interior parts like the trunk, engine neon and doors. The trunk of the car or SUV can be filled with NOS bottles, TV screens, amps or speakers. None of these can be seen during gameplay but it is still cool to see them at the customization menu. The car selection has many more cars than Underground including the Hummer H2, Lincoln Navigator and Cadillac Escalade. These things don't handle all that well but they are fun to free roam in during arcade mode. Career mode is fun but very lengthy. This was the first NFS game to feature free roam which is very fun. The city is huge and features everything from high class neighborhoods to industrial parks filled with factories. The free roam environment in NFSU 2 might be the biggest free roam environment in any of the NFS games. One of the cool things about career mode is that there are hidden shops all over the city to customize your car. There are different shops for performance, body kits, paint and interiors. The variety of races in this game is great and it features drift, sprint, circuit, URL, drag and Lap Knockout. With a massive city, wide selection of cars and great variety of races this game is one of the most fun racing games to ever be released.
