Need For Speed World is a great only multiplayer game
Although I was one of who were disappointed in the last game in the series, I gave this game a shot.
I tried the beta version of the game and found it pretty satisfying compared to the last few games in the series.
The following points represent what I see good, and what I see bad in this game.
The Good:
1- Great Multiplayer: Need For Speed World in mainly a multiplayer game. You can have friends who you can invite to races away from strangers, you can race with people you don't know, or you can practice on your own in single player. You usually get more reputation points and cash from multiplayer than from single player (Rep. Points are to unlock races, cars, and upgrades. Cash is to buy cars and upgrades.). Some races are restricted cars of a certain tier which doesn't let people with superior advantage due to their cars to participate, and the same for people with worse cars. And of course there are a lot ways to chat like to send to everyone, whisper, block or report some people, and so on. And you can play in multiplayer once you hit level 2 as a driver, which is easy.
2- New Ideas: Need For Speed World introduces something new called power ups. It's a kind of special ability for you by which you can do nasty things, like attract traffic to your opponents, and give your car a power boost if your are lagging behind. But the catch here is that it's a substitution to most parts in car customization. In other words you use those power ups instead of parts, and you only have a few upgrade packs, so you don't have a lot of upgrades to your car's performance anymore, even nitrous became a power up. Another catch is that power ups have a limited number of uses, i.e. you have for example 12 nitrous shots to use, and also have a cool down time, so you need to earn power ups in races or buy them.
3- Pursuits Back: Remember the pursuits in NFS Most Wanted? Now those pursuits are back, and in a similar nice way. You can poke the police when in free roaming and get rep points and cash, or probably lose cash if got caught.
4- Good Handling: A very good car handling, no excessive gliding, no blurring if you hit anything, and no car damage (some people may consider this bad).
5- Nice Graphics: Graphics are good and efficient if compared to most games appeared recently.
6- Not expensive starter pack: The starter pack for NFS World is for $19.95, which attracts a lot more customers.
The Bad:
1- Pay for everything: Now after buying the game you'll find yourself either paying for extra power ups and car rental (using boosts), or take it the harder way and earn them. This approach is not new for online games, but makes people pay more than they expected when initially buying the game, so you may find yourself in a while paying $50 or $100 for the game although you only paid 20 to buy it.
2- Must Login Online: This is an online game that you need to login in order to run, even if you just need to play as a single player, so if you want a single player game don't buy this one.
I hope this was useful, and enjoy the game.
