Nekopara Vol. 1 on the PC is a short, erotic visual novel that is the first work in the popular series. The game opens with Kashou who has set out to start his own patisserie "La Soleil". The story follows him and his two catgirls, Chocola and Vanilla, and their developing relationship. The story is fine, but not something you'll be re-reading for the character development. That being said, the artwork is amazing there are some real cute moments. The erotic content is certainly present as well, but is tamer than other offerings in the space. So you are left with a game that is okay, but doesn't really service any serious "fans" of the spaces (story-driven content or erotic content) it is trying to occupy.
