This game is another great move of nintendo or only a desperate attempt to keep their old fans?
New Super Mario Bros Wii
This game is clearly a remake of the game new super mario bros for the ds but what is new?
To begin, the graphics are like the DS game but could have been better (like mario galaxy or metroid games). Next the gameplay.is the classic and always functional 2D platform game but with features of the previous game and that is good but the game needed a little more of originality, because I felt I was playing with the DS but with a bigger screen. items, the game added new items like the flower ,the helicopter hat,the ice flower and the penguin suit, which are great, but (especially the hat) makes very easy the levels.
Sound.the sound is quite good because it has''new''songs but what I hate is that Nintendo keep the annoying sound of cackling chicken that makes goomba, koopa and almost the rest of the things dance.
Something that every person who has played one of the first mario games knows that the game is very easy and I mean that you gain a lot of lives , the levels are short, in the strange event that you die a lot of times a block appears and tell you how to pass the level (or maybe pass it for you) and you can watch how to pass the level at 100% paying only a few coins.
Now that Nintendo have put multiplayer into the game was a good move but they should have changed more things because if you play with other 4 persons 2 must be Toads and mini-games are good for so many players, but if you want to play the original mode it becomes a mess because you have to coordinate all of them, make precise moves, etc.
To finish. the game is new to the younger generation who don´t know mario or want to know how he started, but for veteran players is a game you have to play to give us a breake from the attack of the large number of casual games that Nintendo have released
