There are 8 Worlds and when you complete each one you can always come back at any time by touching the world you completed with you stylus on the DS Touchscreen. On each world, the game has the very same concept just like on Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World because you can repeat the levels at any time you want if you want to collect 3 Star Coins because they are your currency in the game where you can unlock secret paths but they cost 5 Star Coins to open them so don't waste them otherwise you won't any Star Coins left so always save them for something good.
When playing on each level in the game, on the bottom screen you have a big circle displaying your hidden item such as a Mushroom, Flower, Mini Mushroom, Shell or Mega Mushroom that you collected as a backup if your in a bit of trouble so that will come in handy which is useful and also in each level when you're halfway through the level, a halfway flag will pop up and will display itself in the box below so when the next time you lose a life, you don't have to start the level from the beginning all the time you start form the halfway point which is very useful.
There are also minigames in New Super Mario Bros. where some are from Super Mario 64 DS plus some new ones. They come in 4 catergories so you can choose a variety of minigames which is nice but some of them are just very hard to play.
New Super Mario Bros. is a very entertaining game and I'm sure everyone will get a good taste of this classic gaming genre plus there is plenty of replay value as well.
