Overall a decent game. I recently purchased the XBOX as I have been a Dreamcast and PS2 owner for some time. I love football games and I wanted to get Fever to see what a first party Football title is like from MS and to compare this to the Madden and ESPN titles. Graphics are great as far as textures go. Uniforms get dirty in real time which is cool. Players legs aren't as detailed as ESPN's which I think definately has the best player models of all the games now that I own this. The stadiums are not very accurate. The Vikings HHH Metrodome (My Team) for instance looks nothing like the real thing. To be fair Madden is not accurate in its depictions of stadiums either but they look better than Fever's generic statiums. ESPN however, has spot on stadiums. They actually look like they sent people to every stadium and took pictures and made the in game stadiums look exact. Every staduim I have been to looks as I can remember in ESPN. OH Well. The field textures are very good. I haven't played enough to notice if the field sustains damage during the game but the textures are nice. Control responsiveness is very good. The players do what you want them to do when you want them to it. It doesn't have that spongy delay like Madden's controls. When you change players it happens immediately. The area of control that I think really kinda sucks and needs serious work is the way the Motion and Hot routes are done. "Way TOO MANY steps to send someone in motion." Madden and ESPN are the best at this and should be used as a model for how to do this. Sound is Good. Anouncers are average. It is nowhere near ESPN but you could argue that the announcing is on par or a little better than Madden. Player/field and crowd noise are solid and are satisfying. Again, not as stadium specific as ESPN is but holds it's own compared to Madden. Dynasty Mode I can't rate honestly because I have only played single games and it would not be fair. Overall if I had to pick only one game this year it would be ESPN with Madden second and fever Third. Until the new games are released I will play Fever to satisfy my football craving. Afterall the only 2 games that will be on the market this year are ESPN and Madden. With ESPN doing a market share grab for $19.95 at launch I wanted to get Fever before I couldn't find it any more to add to my football collection. Happy Playing!
