NFL HeadCoach is definatley one of the most boring games ive played. I just game the game today and i mustered about 6-8hrs in the game and the only exciting part of the game was the NFL draft. I will try to give it another shot but if I dont have a good reason to keep this game its going back to the shelves at gamestop. U start out the game as a superbowl winning coordinator and its off to start your new coaching career. You fill out a profile and contact a team for an interview, after te interview you get some good job offers. After the job its time to get hands dirty by setting up ur coaching staff, signing and releasing players and so forth. The worst about about signing free agents was that the free agent list wasnt updated and it had the same rosters as Madden 06 none of the not so recent moves (edgerin james going to the cardinals E.X) that was a big downer.
2 hours later its draft time, I used da lonely Browns and got Vince young as the 12th overall and traded to Miami to get the 16th pick to select Reggie Busch. The Commentary from Mel Kipper Jr was so far the biggest highlight of this game. He gives a detailed discription of each pick I hope this is added to the Madden 07 game.
Gameplay is monotinous and depressing and the AI is horrible, For ex - its 3rd and long u select a deep pass tell the qb to look for the 1st and he throws an 8 yard pass.
In conclusion EA tried hard with this new concept but its going to be hard compeating with the madden fan base. Maybe Next year EA.
