Honestly, as much as I enjoy playing this game from time to time, it's really quite bad. The graphics and cuts are really just not up to par with other games. A lot of the actual game play is flawed. Even when I use my wired controller, I find myself saying "well, that's not what I meant to do." It's not a very responsive game, and there are some problems with the AI, but I mean, if you're just looking for brainless hockey fun, then it's cool. I also wish that the song that played when you first start a game would change. I'm really sick of that avenged sevenfold song by now. Simply put, it's not on a "madden" level, by that i mean that madden does football right, and nhl 2006 is still getting there.
