A good game of hockey, but not the best.

Back in 1996 to 2000, EA's hockey game recieved very high ratings, up to 9.2, but ever since then they have been steadily sinking, to the new franchise low 7.6. The main reason for this is their competition, the best being NHL 2K6 (formely ESPN).

Now that said, this is still a very good hockey game, the graphics are quite good, and there are some pretty good new features, and the new deking is really cool. This game does have some definite problems, like the A.I. being dumb. Defence in the game is terrible, and power-play's never look like they should in their positioning.

Furthermore the game is $30, but is still $10 more expensive than 2K6. For my choice, I'd grab 2K Games' version.
