NHL 06 is what you can come to expect from a EA NHL game.. Fun high scoring hockey. The graphics really arnt much of an improvment from 2005. With the new NHL rules and mostly updated rosters I asked myself.."Whats missing".. A few seconds later I go and check Pittsbergs roster and guess whos not there Sydney Crosby..The so called next great one not in this game.. HMMM well thats just plain dumb. But aside from the none exsistant Rookies from the 05 draft the game is cool except when you take a no name rookie and he can blast the puch 120 MPH.. HMMMM well thats just dumb.. The thing I have come to notice in the EA NHL series is the high scoring games ALL THE TIME.. Yes its good if you love high scoring hockey but what about the people who love to see a tight game desided by the goalies..not going to happen the only thing the goalie will deside for you is if you win 9-7 or 9-8. Well atleast create a player is back so I guess thats an up side to this game. EA really need to get more in to the game like being able to hot your own players the ref and even the goalies because any one who watches hockey loves to see the ref decked after a missed call. Overall if you like the EA series and really dont expect much more then 2005 delivered you will enjoy this game...
