Rented it and fell in love so now I own it. Has to be the best hockey game to date. EA has definately mastered the control scheme and player movements. I don't think it can get any more realistic than this. The deke system gives you the oppotunity to make your opponent look silly. The sounds are amazing, really makes you feel like you're in the game. For instance the shots that smack the post make a wonderful "ding" sound. The graphics detail are pretty amazing too, the players actually look like players. Also, the AI is pretty good. Superstar NHL players actually perform like Superstars in the games. E.G. Kovalchuk and Crosby can really dance around you when you play against them. The fighting looks pretty corny and the goalie mode is pretty hard to play with. Oh, and the online connections can be a bit sketchy at times as is mentioned in the review. Other than those factors, this game is definately recommended to all hockey fans!
