As i saw a bad pass get intercepted in the neutral zone, I hopelessly raced behind the bastard Sydney Crosby and his dekes. Then i realize, "Hey, I'm catching up!" I got right behind him, hit a button and b4 i knew it, i had the puck. No i didn't check crosby (Although i want 2) i just used one of the big new features that dramatically balances the play. The stick lift. This feature makes ur player lift an opponent's stick out of the way causing them to miss a pass or lose control of the puck. It helps make the games more than goal-a-thons and makes defense more than just running around, pressing the check button. (because i know thats all u did in past NHL games.) B careful though, if u do it 2 much, u could get called for slashing or high-sticking, meaning 2 minutes in the sin bin. Other than that the game remains largely the same on the ice. the skill stick, love it or hate it, returns this year, requiring u 2 move the right stick like u want ur hockey stick 2 move, such as flicking it forward 4 a wrist shot or moving it side 2 side for deking. Overall, i think this is the most balanced and nuanced hockey game out there. No more 10-goal games.
