By far the best NHL game to date.

It looks like NHL '98 has finally been topped. EA Sports' NHL 11 has become, by far, the best NHL game I have ever played. Last year's NHL 10 was a fantastic game but can't even hold a candle to this year's edition.

The on ice game play was done well yet again by EA. The puck physics is even better this time around. In '10, I found hitting to be a difficult and often frustrating (they never seemed to quite get knocked off the puck) but now it seems the hitting mechanic and gotten stronger and targets better for amazing looking hits (hip checks even happen now!).

I appreciate even more leagues and teams being added. This creates an amazing variety and can cause a lot of fun. Hopefully some dayCCHA teams would be added. I would love to play as Michigan State agaisnt U of Michigan at the Joe!!

Visually speaking, I can't tell much difference between '10 and '11. The cut scenes and instant replays are much better for certain.
