I picked up my first HD hockey game for the xbox 360 and ps3 NHL 10 the first day I got my xbox and I was hoocked! But after getting this game I havn't really touch NHL 10. Its a shame that two blackhawks are on the cover back to back because the hawks just stink (GO CANUCKS!) but this game is really great. The game has been slowed down but I actually enjoy that. A great new scoreboard has been added with continuous stats like facoffs one, a specific player (e.g. Daniel Sedin 2G 0A +/- 1). Its a shame that some of the panels for certain teams and a color so bright or something you can't see the stats of that player (for example the Brandon wheatkings have a REALLY light yellow). Speaking of the brandon wheatkings an FANTASTIC edition to this game is the CHL which includes the QMJHL, WHL, and OHL. I really do like the edition. Other then a CHL memorial cup to before the NHL entry draft nothing has really changed on be a pro which is a shame but I still love the mode. The new mode NHL 11 ultimate hockey team is a little stupid if you ask me. Basically you get a pack of hockey cards that contain crappy players at first and then when you win a game or tournament you get EA pucks that can be used to by packs. I don't spend much time on this mode cause I don't like it but It's still decent. A great edition is the user celebrations. Basically when you score a goal on any mode you can press a certain button to do something like do the ride the stick for example. Closing comments: I don't care if you still like NHL 10 GET NHL 11! Its a master piece and I can't wait for NHL 12.
First off, I've been playing since NHL 94. Took a break around the early 2000s, but I came back in time for '06 and haven't missed a year since. Seems like announcing your history with this franchise is a prerequisite to... Read Full Review
NHL '11 has so much to do, it's pretty amazing. You could play the HUT mode, or Be a Pro. How about Be a GM? Or the EASHL? The options just go on and on. I've been a devout NHL gamer since NHLPA '93, and I've been... Read Full Review
