This Game Rocks, It has just about everything you want in a hockey game, with the exception of some glitches.
And now on to the Glitches:
Player development is GM mode needs to be tweaked, for example I had a player with a development rating of "A" and one with a "B" both of their rank ware at 70 and their stats didn't meet their development (at least not in my eyes). Player "A"s stats were 56GP 15G 33A 48PTS (26 games were in the Minors) and Player "B"s stats were 78GP 46G 57A 103PTS (He was injured for 4 Games) and when the next season started Player "A"s rank was 78 and Player "B" rank was 72.
Secondly, the Trophy scheme needs serious work, for example my Goalie had a record of 65P 58W 6L 1OTL with a GAA of 1.57 and 18 shutouts. You'd think he would be a lock for the Vezina Trophy wouldn't you? Not in NHL11, The Trophy went to another goalie with a Record of 57GP 37W 26L 3OTL with a GAA of 2.77 and 3 shutouts. (and his team didn't make the playoffs). The Calder trophy is strange to...remember player "B"?
He didn't get the Calder is went to a Rookie Goalie who won 29 Games and Lost 36. (Doesn't seem fair to me) The Hart Trophy is the same way it's always a Goalie that win it """ALWAYS""".
Now remember, this does not make the game unplayable, but ti can make it frustrating.
They should Improve the Player stats screen also, going it depth like telling you what teams he has played for points per season stuff like that. An why not put the NHL record Book in the Game, and unique celebrations or at least an announcement that he has Broken the record (That would be awesome) HOF inductions would be cool to. They should also use the Retired Jersey Numbers and not let anyone use that Number again....Well, a player can hope can't he?
