There's a lot that was done excellent with NHL 12. It's amazing that you get to play as Gordie Howe or Wayne Gretzky, the NHL Winter Classic, and they brought back my favorite feature from the previous installments, Be a Pro. The graphics are also at their best. This game's visuals are just nothing but super smooth, especially on HDTVs. Also player reactions are super amazing. I love watching the bench jump back when there's about to be a hit there or see Alex Edler send Sidney Crosby through the boards spilling a fans Bud Light. And seeing your teams championship banner go up is so much fun. The music could be better, but I cant complain because some of the songs are solid and catchy such as Billy Idol idolizing himself with "Mony Mony" or hearing the melody of Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll Pt. 2", a.k.a. "The Hey Song". The sound is also loud and easy on the ears. This is easily one of the best sports games of the year. You can't go wrong with NHL 12.
