First time, long time!!
NHL 15 is the first next gen hockey game. Finally!! The time has come!!!! But why is everybody so pissy?? Sure it lacks the game modes, but if you did your research ahead of time, you would have known this!!! EA has already addressed the issue and there will be updates coming in the next upcoming months. The biggest beef that all reviews that I have seen thus far is the lack of game modes, which is fine. It is a very essential piece to any game. And of course, I would love all those game modes. But what really is the most important part of any game is simple, the gameplay. This is the first series where i actually feel like I can control the puck and the stick. Gameplay is very fun and challenging. For once the goalies are consistent and do not seem to freeze up and stare for half a second. THE GAMEPLAY IS FUN!!!!!!! And when I score a goal, I actually scream in satisfaction. (loser, yes i know.) But it truly aggravates me that such a great hockey franchise is getting such a low rating for "missing game modes" Come on now!!!! IF you truly feel as though you need the complete NHL 15 experience with all the game modes, then just wait a few months, by then im sure it will be on sale at Best Buy for $40. I give this game an 8 because the gameplay is superb and yes it is a bummer that the game modes arent there, but it is enough to hold me over by the end of the month when new updates will arrive.
