Where we left off on the first NHL:EHM was a place where a person could really look forward to what would come next. The last version also being the first meant there was plenty of room for improvement. Not only did improvement come, but also the most recent 2nd patch being released, it has come to the point where the game is solid beyond its years. With most major bugs out of the way it is time to lay a solid groundwork on adding new features, and for next years game, new NHL rules too! But not just the NHL is in this game, so if you are a fan of any other league, you will still want to get into this. Just about any hockey fan will love what they get out of this game, and though it can be imposing to learn at first, a few reads on some tutorials on a few fan sites and you will get the hang of it. By getting the hang of it though, it means you will understand what you are doing; it will by no means be an easy task. One of the major selling points to this game, in my opinion, is the fact it is hard, really hard, to win. I will still only rate the difficulty at just right because I believe that with time anyone can appreciate that you cannot win every year, so it is a dose of reality. Time to get back to this game; I fear I may have gone through withdrawals just writing this review.
