Those of you that played the Wane Gretzky games are going to love this. This is an umrealistic hockey game featuring big checks, fast pace, a amazing action. The controls are pretty simple, B shoots, A passes, and X checks. But you'll soon realize there are plenty of advanced techniques, like 1-timer shots, charge shots, and poke checks. There is also fighing, for me one accurs every 5 minutes, but if you don't like that, you can turn it off.
You know how annoying sports games are when it comes to taking up huge amounts of memory on your memory. Well, in NHL Hitz, you can have as many custom players, custom teams, user profiles, and settings as you want and it will only cost you 8 block regardless, isn't that great?
The multiplayer in this game is absolutely incredible and make other more popular sports games lower thier heads in shame. The graphics and sound aren't the best, but the're good enough to meet the standards.
The thing that will keep you comming back is Franchise, Championship, and Hockey shop. Franchice allows you to take you created team to the top in 50 games for the Midway Cup, Championship allows you to take your favorite NHL (or created) team up the 30-team ladder for the stanley sup, and hockey shop allows you to purchase unreal rinks, wierd player heads, historic jerseys, new teams, and more.
So, for fans of hockey, NFL Blitz, MLB Slugfest, and just a doggone good time with an arcade sports game, look no further than NHL Hitz.
