If you are like me and don't necessarily want to invest hundreds of hours into a sports game with countless amounts of statistics and ultra-boring realism and you've enjoyed games like NFL Blitz; this is the hockey game for you! Furthermore this game has aged better than most hockey games of its time due to the fact that the rosters aren't out of date and it's simply a lot of fun to pull off super moves that bulldoze your opponents and fight people on the ice in classic arcade style. This game has a slight learning curve to get over but once your well-adjusted to the controls and have gotten the hang of things this game starts to become very rewarding. You are able to unlock bonus content by performing well in various aspects of the game. The game has a cartoonish charm yet it doesn't lose its gruff appeal as you are encouraged to be very violent during the course of the game. You may be disappointed that your favorite team isn't featured in this hockey game but you are bound to find a team that is suited to your liking. I recommend this game to those who enjoy arcade style sports games that don't take themselves seriously.
