The most amazing Xbox game I have ever had the pleasure of playing

Where to begin with this game? It is my all time favorite game on the Xbox, and you are not a true game enthusiast until you have played this game. It is the story of a young ninja named Ryu Hayabusa (also seen in the Dead or Alive series) who is left in charge of his mountain village of the Dragon Lineage while his father is away training. The Dragon Lineage, an ancient clan of people charged with guarding two swords, one, the Dark Dragon Blade, which is said to have the power to destroy anyone in its path, and cause mass destruction in the wrong hands, and another sword, the Dragon Sword, which is the weapon wielded by Ryu. Ryu travels into the mountains to see an old clan member, but while he is away the village is attacked by the Fiends, an ancient race of beasts who despise humans and like to kill them. One of the Greater Fiends (higher up fiends, only three exist in the world) Doku, kills Ryu’s mother and steals the Dark Dragon Blade, and strikes Ryu down in the process. Ryu is revived, and goes on an epic quest to get revenge for his destroyed village, kill Doku, and regain the Dark Dragon Blade. Ryu’s quest takes him from caverns full of lava, to great ice caves, to ancient temples, and even the realm of the fiends.
The combat in this game is spectacular. They cut no corners while designing the combat system of this game, you will feel like a real ninja when you use all of the moves that Ryu places at your disposal, you can run both up and along walls for a considerable distance, run on the top of water, and slash your opponent at lightning speed.
Ryu is not only schooled in the use of a sword, but also acquires several other weapons, such as nunchaku, the Vigorian Flail (like nunchaku, but are bladed weapons), a great war hammer, and a sword that is about as tall as Ryu, and about twice as wide. Each weapon has its own type of moves, and each is best suited for certain situations.
Another ability Ryu has is the Ninpo, which is ninja magic. He gains 4 in total, one circles his body in fireballs, another creates an ice storm around Ryu, another amplifies his bioelectric current that zaps all enemies in a certain vicinity, and the last allows Ryu to fire a large fire ball infront of him.
Also, if you search through the game, you can get your hands on the original Ninja Gaiden games that appeared on arcade consoles. This allows you to play the old games, and see what it was like to be a ninja “back in the day”
All in all this is the most amazing Xbox game I have ever played, and I whole heartedly recommend it to anyone who likes ninja’s, or is just looking for a good game to play.
