The original on the Xbox was one of the best games of the last generation & decade period. Ground breaking graphics (for its time), brutally challenging and pure old school made it an instant albeit cult classic. Sigma takes all the best bits and plasters it with a fresh new coat of paint and gameplay elements to give you the definitive version. The boss fights were particularly satisfying for their variety and challenge and if that's not enough mission mode will stretch your combat skills to the limit so be prepared!
Admittedly, it's tough and not for the faint hearted but perseverence with the deep combat will reap a sense of fulfillment and reward that only a few games can match. I've marked it down a tad because essentially it's still a flashy remake of a last gen game, camera angles can be a bit dodgy and there's heavy competition on the PS3 from the likes of dmc4, god3 and of course the sequel sigma 2.
