Too Hard?! Well yes, but if it wasn't so much fun I'd have given up already.

User Rating: 9.1 | Ninja Gaiden Black XBOX
Ninja Gaiden Black is not so much a reimagining of Tecmo's classic game, but more like a tweaking. They have taken everything that was great about the original and then tweaked some of the problems. New camera angles and a few new cutscenes and you have Ninja Gaiden Black, an instant classic. Even before it's second release (Black), Ninja Gaiden was widely considered the best game of it's kind. Stunning visuals, a solid soundtrack, and AI that was smarter than most of your next door neighbors, Ninja Gaiden stands in a class all it's own. Well I am not going to beat around the bush, Ninja Gaiden was hard, yes, and Ninja Gaiden Black is even harder. A few new boss fights and some higher difficultly levels, this game is not just hard, it's one of, if not the hardest game ever made. I should tell you that if you are going to play this game, your temper should be moderate at your worst, because if it isn't your going to have to dish out some more money to buy new controllers for the ones you smashed against the wall. But beyond that the game is still stunning, and holds up just as well as the day it was released. The visuals in Ninja Gaiden Black are well amazing, they haven't done anything different than the stuff they did the original, but it holds up nicely. It's just as pretty as ever watching Ryo slice and dice his way through hords of undead enemies. The sound is still below its visuals, with little to no soundtrack the game stumbles a little, but nothing that will hurt the experience. Infact the lack of sound helps you focus your attention to the visuals, and like I said above those don't dissapoint. I am not saying the sound in Ninja Gaiden is bad, it's just not there, but what is there is very solid. I just have to say that Tecmo has more than outdone them selves with Ninja Gaiden, and I am still hoping for a sequel on Microsoft's new next-gen console the X-Box 360.
