The Game that got me addicted to games post-Super Mario 64
Well gameplay is in one word: Dazzling. I did not know that games could be this fluid in their presentation. The graphics for Ninja Gaiden rival that of any other console game. This game truly stands the test of time. The seamless environments coupled with the fluidity are amazing. There is no delay between a button press and Ryu’s action on screen, it is that quick. The story is a pretty typical revenge plot, but this is not noticed in the heat of the action. As Ryu travels from level to level, the player is not increasingly interested in the story, because of the amazing effects of the gamplay.
The boss fights are monumental and spectacular. I loved the fight with Alma( my favorite)
Many people complain about two aspects of the game: the camera, and the difficulty. I will guarantee that this game is quite challenging not because of unreasonable difficulty, but because of hard opponents. But it isn’t as difficult as people make it out to be. I par this game with the difficulty of games like Time Commando and the Devil May Cry series. The camera is a bit annoying, but nothing that can’t be forgiven.
Do yourself a favor…buy this game!
