Incredible game. The graphics are gorgeous, the levels are well-designed and the gameplay is almost perfect. This is one of the best action games ever made. I heard a lot of excellent reviews so I decided to splurge and I came away satisfied. I haven't played such a challenging game in quite some time. Ninja Gaiden proves you can make a great game and not sacrifice difficulty. Everyone is spoiled by easy games nowadays so I was glad to play something as great as this. This game really brought me back to the days when games were tough but not impossible to beat. The story and plot isn't the greatest thing about it but there's just enough that you won't feel like you're playing some brainless action game. Btw, the game has a lot of gorgeously designed characters. Rachel is definitely one of the hottest game babes I'd ever seen. :)
The only drawback to this game is that they needed to flesh out the shopping section and weapon customization. I also found some of the respawning enemies highly annoying in certain levels. But other than that, the rest of the game is just heavenly. This is not an easy game though. In fact, it's quite hard until you get used to it. Some might throw their controllers on the walls if they're used to easy games. Let me tell you this, this game ain't forgiving. But, I loved it anyways. I just wish it had more extras but the original Ninja Gaiden Trilogy was a great bonus to a great game so I can't complain. This game is like a polished katana ready to slice someone's head off.
