Ninja Gaiden is my favorite Xbox game. The combination of this game and Halo are what caused me to buy an Xbox a few months ago. Ninja Gaiden is easily one of the best looking games I have ever played (having been a PC gamer for 10+ years), and the cut scenes are motion picture quality. The controls are very responsive, and I was able to quickly pick them up, never having used an Xbox controller for anything other than Halo. The game play is very fast paced (and when you first meet the Black Spider Clan, a little too much so), and repetitive, but not tedious, and always fun. It’s nice to start playing and be very slow at the controls, but eventually get to the point where almost nothing can hit you. The in-game store feature is great, allowing you to purchase upgrades to weapons, power ups, and certain new moves. Also, hidden within the game are the original 3 (S?)NES Ninja Gaidens, which gives the game that much more playability. Overall, this is my favorite Xbox games, and arguably one of the best the system has to offer. It loses 1 gameplay point because it was very hard for a beginner at first, but ultimately rewarding.
