Good and Occasionally Great

What is one to expect from a procedural universe? Well, in truth, the proceduralism is all handcrafted, and with a small team at Hello Games, there only so much that can be done, so the game begins to become repetitive - same space stations, same planet side bases, same aliens and conversations. Now that being said, I'm about 25 hours in, and there are enough *wow* moments that I'm still entranced and want to continue. I've encountered plenty of dog icky planets, but also had plenty of truly unique planets (one was toxic and green). The gameplay is just ok, but the procedural generation makes the journey fantastic enough to continue onwards.
