Obscure is pretty much your average survival horror game. You got evil creatures that want to hurt you, you got puzzles, you got bosses, you got walking around in the dark and all that other jazz. You play as a bunch of high school students trapped in well, a high school. But this school has been overrun with these creatures of the darkness. Really, the story isn't great. In fact its pretty bad along with most of the voice acting. This game is tough though on the "normal" difficulty. Bigger creatures will usually take you down in 2-3 hits while it takes you 4-6 hits to kill them. This game doesn't cut you any slack. Ammo and health are sparse and you need to learn when to use your gun or when to use your melee weapons. The one big thing that this game has is co-op play and it works the way co-op should. Player Two presses start and *bam* your in alongside your friend. Its really fun if you and your friend happen to be big survival horror fans. Unfortunately, this is a pretty short game. You can probably go through it on "normal" in 4-5 hours. This games pretty rare nowadays but if you like survival horror, I would give it a rental at least. Although if your a survival horror fan who say has a couple friends or siblings to play with, I would probably buy this game. In the end, Obscure is a pretty standard game but the co-op is what makes it stand out.
