While this game takes its cues from other action adventure platform games, it's still great to play!

As a lot of video game programmers can tell you, it's a really fine line to walk between making a video game that pays homage to other video games that came before it, and making a video game that's just a blatant rip-off of a much more popular game. Thankfully, this video game is respectful to the sources of inspiration that have inspired this game, and have put their own unique interpretation of it. While this game is greatly inspired by "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker", and "The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past", in terms of the world map exploration, and primary video game play respectively, the plot is relatively unique. Long ago, there was a relatively utopian kingdom called Arcadia. It was a pretty peaceful, and prosperous kingdom, until one day, an evil sorcerer activated a monstrous machine called Oceanhorn. It decimated the Kingdom of Arcadia, and sent most of it except for some scattered islands, sinking into the ocean, before the machine could be deactivated! Although Oceanhorn was stopped, the islands that had belonged to Arcadia, became a mere shell of its former self, as much of the knowledge of the former kingdom, became lost to the mists of mythology. Many years later, a father sets out on a journey to find Oceanhorn, and attempts to destroy it once and for all. When his son comes of age, his pendant starts to glow, and awakens him on his own journey to find the three lost, magic pendants of Arcadia, in order to unite them, and start Arcadia on a path to re-awaken the Kingdom to it's former glory. While there are only five boss fights total throughout the game, the amount of places to go and things to discover, more than make up for the sparse boss fights. Also, just because there are only five boss fights, don't expect them to go down easily! Each boss will take some clever planning and strategy to take down, as well as expert dodging and fighting, in order to take down, before you can achieve your goals on each island! The graphics are really incredible, the controls, sound, and music are all really great, and while the difficulty is a little uneven, sometimes due to the fact that you might not be able to do certain things until you've acquired a certain item or spell, the sailing portions of the game are thankfully streamlined, so you ride on a predetermined path to each island you set out for and discover! This game is a really great love letter to great action adventure platform games, and I highly recommend it, to anyone who wants to try something new. Enough said, true believers!
