Seriously, it's the best 2D game ever. It follows Abe, an alien hero, as he tries to rescue his mudokon brethren from the evil Glukkons and their servants, the Sligs. Abe has pretty much no combat options. He can slap, but that won't do anything to any enemy you meet. Instead, the emphasis is on puzzle solving and stealth. You can talk to other mudokons you meet and give them orders so you can get them to a portal that sets them free. Or, if you prefer, you can drops them into vicious traps or make them commit suicide.
You can also possess enemies, and use them against each other. However, this power is limited as sometimes there will be a little robot that zaps you if you try to possess someone. You can also unpossess them, but this invariably results in them exploding into a bloody mess.
You'll get a few more abilities through the game, like being able to let out explosive farts and even possess them for remote-control bombs. You'll also be able to throw rocks, defuse bombs, jump, sprint and roll.
Everything about this game is fantastic. The only problem is that it's really very hard, both in the puzzles and in the action sequences (which usually involve dodging drills or monsters). Hey, that's what quicksave is for, right?
