Wicked visuals, dry humor, and what it means to be dubbed of Oddworld!
User Rating: 9.1 | Oddworld Stranger's Wrath XBOX
I'd never played any of the other Oddworld games before, other than rare occasions at a friend's house. As I played through it, I quickly realized it had an artistic streak. You just didn't see these sorts of things in your run of the mill platformer. Not only was it a fresh smell in the metaphorical shoe of the genre- not to say there aren't any good platformers, mind you, but the witty humor and absurdity of it all was simply wonderful. I was enveloped by it all. Then of course, I actually bought an Oddworld game, namely, Stranger's Wrath. In my most sincere opinion, this is the best game in the series. It's too bad not many people noticed it, and I was slightly disappointed at the end... I was expecting some sort of preview for the next game or a spectacular scene from an upcoming Oddworld movie! I loved it none the less though. And perhaps an Oddworld flick isn't such an oddity after all?
This is the sort of game I bought my Xbox for.
