Beautiful game worth playing

Odin Sphere is an Action/RPG but falls more into the beat m' up genre, the game features 5 playable characters. All going through the same storyline but showing through a different perspective and time in the plot. At the beginning of the game only 1character is available to play. But as you advance you unlock the others. The gameplay is gorgeous probably some of the best art I have seen in a game in a long time. But having such beautiful art maxs the PS2 capabilities. There are occasional slow downs, the only real slowdown problem I came across was one of the bosses. Speaking of the bosses, the bosses in this game are crazy hard sometimes and if your not prepared for them you will get killed pretty quick. But thats not a bad thing in some ways, after defeating the final boss for the first character I was screaming. Happy, not angry, just to clarify but I had lost to it a couple of times and had come close to breaking my controller.
GOOD: Beautiful artwork, great gameplay can become addictive, quarky characters
BAD: Slow down can either save you or kill you, loading can be a problem
EITHER GOOD/BAD: Hard bosses, some may see bosses as a bad thing some as good (thats why its in the either :P)
My suggestion is to pick up this game. And hopefully more games like this will be released outside Japan. SCORE: 8.4
