A game with no flaws worth paying attention to. An amazingly enjoyable adventure, and beautifully spun tale.

Odin Sphere has some of the most enjoyable gameplay I've experienced. It's very fun and has a system you want to return to and keep playing. The Phozon, Psypher and HP leveling system is ingenius, and there are many ways to use them. The alchemy system is also very enjoyable, and complex at first, making it all the more fun to learn. The game also offers a very fun challenge that is, for the most part, free from frustration and cheapness. If you know how to properly level up, Odin Sphere is by no means a difficult game. The only reason the gameplay could remotely have a negative aspect is because of the long loading times, though they are easy to overlook. The much complained about slow down didn't bother me much at all.

The graphics are most endearing. By far the best you can get for 2D that I've seen. Being hand drawn they are much more beautiful and detailed than your average 2D graphics -- even facial expressions are easy to notice. And then enhanced further by gorgeous backgrounds that stretch on quite a distance. The game is nothing less than eye candy.

Odin Sphere's music is done by Basiscape, and is wonderful. The enchanting tunes match the bittersweet stories perfectly.

The replay value of this game is very high for me in particular. It's a gem I believe I'll be able to keep coming back to.

The story is spun rather beautifully, one of the best I've ever been told. It's a bittersweet "Shakespeare fairytale", that tells of love, duty, sacrifice, pain, determination, and finally hope. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, and shocked to find such a story in a video game. Absolutely perfectly woven.

I can have no complaints about this masterpiece, and feel lucky to have been one of the few to find and fully appreciate it.
