User Rating: 9.3 | Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber N64
I began playing Ogre Battle in the summer of '01 and have played it off and on since then. One of the most interesting aspects of the game is how the story line branches off and depending on your earlier choices you can receive different rewards. With over 50 character throughout the game, most of which may join up with you, the story line is detailed and intense.

Gameplay - 9/10
The gameplay is enjoyable with strategy playing a key role in each map. While most games provide 1 maybe 2 different ways to achieve victory, Ogre Battle has countless options available, and with a briefing before each map you will be informed of many of them. Also the estimated play time given by most sites is 50 or more hours; with each map taking at least an hour to do Ogre Battle will keep you occupied for a very long time. The world of Ogre Battle also is quite large; it features the conflict between the Holy Lodis Empire, the Kingdom of Palatinus, and even involves the Kingdom of Zenobia.

Graphics - 9/10
The graphics of Ogre Battle have a very unique style to them, sort of like a softened form of anime. With the lack of mouths, an Ogre Battle trademark, amazing spell cinematics, and of coarse classic martial weapons Ogre Battle 64's graphics won't disappoint. Also after you have grown tired of the battle animations it is simple (Settings Page) to just turn them off which will make battles proceed much faster.

Sound - 9/10
The haunting melodies of Ogre Battle remain enjoyable throughout the game. I don't believe I have ever muted it to listen to other music as I play and I believe it will not disappoint.

Value - 9/10
The reason I didn't give Ogre Battle 64 a 10/10 for value is because since the game was release in limited supply (70%-80% the estimated amount roughly) it still sells for 20$-30$, not that it isn't worth the price tag. It's just expensive compared to other Nintendo 64 games from the same time.

Reviewer's Tilt - 10/10
I love the game and hope anyone that finds this review informative, to try it out for themselves!
