Original, engaging, overall a beautiful experience!
Graphics: Absolutely beautiful. This is not just cel-shading, it looks like a painting come to life. The game runs perfectly without any frame rate hiccups. The animation gives each character an amazing amount of life and energy. There is an immense attention to detail, such as how leaves and flowers sprout from your movements. Simply breathtaking.
Gameplay: The world in this game feels so alive and complete. The level design is very similar to the Legend of Zelda, and thats a good thing! The dungeons have almost the exact same feel as a LoZ temple. It flows linearly, but also gives you an amount of freedom and backtracking, but not too much that it gets tedious. The celestial brush's usages are creatively implemented and add creativity and intrigue to the game. The only reason this doesn't get a 10 is because the combat is generally too easy and almost every battle except bosses occur in an enclosed "arena". As well, the "helper" character almost always points out what you have to do, reducing the amount of thinking involved.
Story: Very good story that fully fits the "ancient-japanese-legend" feel of the game. The script is very nicely written, and there is a great amount of wit and humour in the characters. It can be heartwearming and charming, and the world feels alive. The little "helper" character is funny or amusingly annoying depending on how you see it.
Sound: Orchestral theme's that perfectly augment the ancient japanese feel of the game. Music is very atmospheric. There are also a few tracks that stand out and reach a Nobuo Uematsu-like level (such as Suzano's theme).
Value: Plenty to do, plenty to see. Little things to collect, and tons to explore. The game's art style makes it a timeless piece, so 10 years from now it will still be as great.
Overall: If you appreciated the quality of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, this is the game that you MUST have. Anyone can have fun enjoying this game.
