Samanosuke and Jacques fight in the final battle against Nobunaga but to defeat him they must travel through time!!
Onimsuha games have always had a good story and cool characters so you should come to expect that the overall plot to be as good as before if not better. Some cool new characters were added to this game and I thought that was pretty cool. Just like the 2 games before it, Onimusha 3: Onimusha Demon Siege, is a fairly short game which is too bad since it is such an awesome game. Even if it is a short game it is still very enjoyable and should take somewhere between 10-20 hours to complete. It is longer than the first 2 games but still not really to long of a game. From the beggining the Onimusha Trilogy has always had great graphics. Backround art and character art is of very high quality. Come to expect the same with the graphics as you did with the other Onimusha games. Throughout the game you will play as both Samanosuke Akechi and Jacques Blanc. (During a couple parts of the game you will play as Jacques fiancee Michelle Aubert. As always you will gain elemental weapons as you progress through the game and each weapon still has an elemental power which is pretty useful in battle. (The weapons differ depending on the character you are playing as. The combat has been improved this time around. For in the first and 2nd games you had to go to the item inventory every time you want you switch from sword to a bow but now you don,t have to so you can quickly pull your bow out, fire it, and put it away. Jacques was not in any of the previous games but a pretty cool move he has is when he wraps his wip around you and takes out his gun and starts shooting at the enemy who was caught by his Oni whip. The camera angles have also improved a little more than in the last 2 games and now it is alot easier to freely move around. Absorbing souls still happens frequently throughout the game and as always souls are used to increase your weapons, heal you, and regain magic. As you might remember in Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny whenever you abosorbed 5 purple souls you were transformed into the Onimusha. This was sometimes annoying because you would sometimes transform when you didn,t want to and then waste your whole Onimusha form and have to abosorb 5 purple souls all over again. This probelm has now been worked on and should no longer be called a problem because now you can just choose when you transform. Wheter you are Samanosuke or Jacques you can freely choose when to transform into the Onimusha once you have 5 purple souls. Your Tengu partner Ako has some pretty cool powers such as traveling from one of your characters to the one in a different time and trade items. Another cool thing she can do is that when you have enough ecospirit you can spend it on aromor which when the requirements are met to where that armor you get useful new abilities on your side such as healing' using less magic attacks don't conusme as much from your magic meter. Ako can also find items for you and bring them to you and I thought that was pretty cool. In my opinion the puzzles are even more challenging then ever this time. The puzzle boxes can be frustrating to solve, and some other puzzles are challenging. Challenging but enjoyable.
Onimusha 3: Demon siege is great when it comes to the story and characters. It still has the same awesome and detailed graphics as before and it fixes upon some gameplay problems in the first 2 games. It is a few hours longer than the first 2 games which is good even though that doesn't mean it is particularly long.
In my opinion Onimusha 3: Demon Siege was the best game in the whole Onimusha series and I really hope to see more great games in the series to come. Anyways if your an Onimusha fan then you really need to play this game. Get ready for the final battle agains't Nobunaga and his Genma!!!!
