Unparalleled immersion!OPFP DR makes you plan out a strategy and implement tactics which will keep your squad safe
First off, I have not finished playing OPFP DR, I am only 12 hours into it (MW single player would already be over ). You start a safe distance away from your objective and you approach your first target. You have a squad to control and the command system kinda work like the newer Ghost Recon games except, the AI in OPFP moves more naturally and interacts organically with the map. The enemy AI also acts more organically. The enemy takes cover, reinforcements come in. They will mount logical strategies and use human like tactics against you. All though the command system seems like it is just for the console, I love it because ARMA II menu and command system is just too huge and cumbersome. Especially if you play a game for a while and then put it down for a week before playing it again. Right, I would like to say I love ARMA II the game play is really life like, the enemy is smart, the assortment of armor is amazing, but the multiplayer is not good unless you play with people you know or are at least attempting to coordinate. When you do find a good group of people to play with, the experience can be amazing. Also in ARMA II you have the single player and occasional multiplayer bug, but I can look past that. But if I had to pick one game to own it would be OPFP since it is just soo much more accessible but still adds enough detail to make it realistic. ARMA II does have a bunch of small details which make it really shine like look around ability, wound system, more detailed orders and vehicle controls. If you have the cash buy both ARMA II and OPFP DR. ARMA II is intense realism and miles deep in content, OPFP DR much more realistic than MW but makes some accessibility compromises and is 1 mile deep in content. Each provides its own experience and has its own advantages.
