Orbital Defence is a great old-school shoot-em-up that will have Galaga and Space Invaders fans grinning like madmen.
I hadn't heard of the game before I saw the gamespot info...but what a great find!
From the flicking mechanic (how has no one thought of doing that before now??) to the beautiful 3D art, groovy audio and effects, to the electro color, not to mention the _absolute need_ to get your score to the top of the Worldwide Leaderboard, Orbital Defence just delivers and delivers and delivers.
I don't want to spoil it...but the final boss battle is awesome!
There's even a Facebook app launching with it to support its fan base, which will be a welcome addition for those of the bragging-rights mindset.
This game is everything I love in a shoot-em-up, and it's an absolute bargain at $US1.99.
