This is a great game for anyone who has an interest in volleyball. I haven’t really seen any other volleyball games out there, so there isn’t much to compare it to. But as far as 2 on 2 volleyball games go, this game does have something to offer. GAMEPLAY – I like the game play here. You need to beat a series of tournaments and then you unlock other characters, drills, or locations. It really makes you have to work to build up your character. What I would have liked to have seen, in more detail, is the character development. The characters break down into 4 basic skills, Speed, Power, Offense and Defense. All of which you can increase by going through “drills”. If they broke those down a little more specifically, it might help the game’s replay value a little. Give me a category for digs, acceleration, setting, blocking, or something along those lines. In any game I play, I am big fan of creating my own character. Because this game lacks such a feature, it loses a little. It would have been a nice touch to choose your outfit, face, features, etc. GRAPHICS – The graphics are probably the best part of this game (which is probably why everyone’s overall ratings are so low). And I don’t mean that in a perverted, need to see computerized girls in bikinis kind of way. Don’t get me wrong, that part is ok too. But I think they did a good job on the detail of the characters. Nothing was too choppy or distorted. SOUND – The sound is just ok. The default songs are a little generic. Having a few up and coming bands might not have been a bad idea. What I ended up doing is using my personal created soundtrack. This was really easy to turn on. Just point and click really. VALUE – I bought this game for $10, brand new. I haven’t seen any games cheaper than that. Plus I enjoyed it, so that value, to me, is just wonderful REVIEWER’S TILT – If you are not a fan of volleyball, then this game is best rented by you. But if you enjoy playing or watching volleyball (as strange as that sounds), then this is a good buy. I didn’t buy it when it first came out, so I didn’t get to experience any online play. I go on and look now and again, but I have had no luck finding any matches.
