Great game to rent

It takes a little time to get used to the controls in Overlord, but after a couple of hours, moving your minions around becomes second nature. Neither the graphics nor the sound is particularly amazing, but they are both sufficient...Overlord is about the gameplay.

What kind of gameplay? minor puzzle solving and leveling up. If that doesn't sound like a blast to you, try the game. It's pretty easy to get wrapped up, addictive even. The humor level wasn't as laugh out loud funny as I had anticipated given the subject matter, but still worth a chuckle.

And as others have mentioned: if you want blood, gore, profanity and a hard dose of pure evil, this isn't the game for you (and you should consult a professional sooner than later) This game is the lightest form of evil I've ever known.

Someone also mentioned that it can be a little childish at times: true again, but it's still fun.

Lastly, the game lastest over 25 hours for me. Not too bad considering the length of other games on the market. Haven't tried online mode, so I can't comment on the longevity of Overlord, but probably better to rent it and enjoy the ride while it lasts over buying.
