Well, im sure if you’re looking at this game, you have read some sort of review or heard something about it, considering it is an older, and hard to find game. Most reviews give this game a mediocre rating, but most of them are just spoiled from playing every game that’s ever existed. Anyway, don’t believe the reviews. I figure, since your reading this, you are still interested in it, so pick it up. And at 14-22 bucks, this is a steal. Graphics: The graphics are great. Maybe not top of the line, but still something to gawk at now and then. The sexy heroine, that stars are the main character, is a very nicely rendered piece of polygon ass, a total sex pot. The robots are very cool, and they have al to of tricky animations that you really have to get used to and figure out to even get a little bit good at the game. Laser effects and all of the cool weaponry stuff looks awesome. Level designs are similar, but they aren’t. I think they did a great job with the graphics, overall. Game play: The game play is very confusing and different, from the normal action game, and is hard to get a grip on, at first. Now the actual character controls, and the movement layout is simple to pick up and very cool. But the levels are strange. They are broken up into 18-25 rooms, each room takes around 30 seconds to complete. The trick is to get a combo by killing off all the robots in a time limit, and clearing the room as quickly as you can. On Easy mode, it is just that, easy. I bought this game yesterday; I beat easy in 7 hours. Now I bumped it up to normal, and well, it’s a whole new dimension of hard. So it’s going to bump my clear time up to around 15 hours. Then there is hard mode, which im afraid to touch until I hone my skills a bit more. You have different suits you can purchase that have different levels of power, different abilities (Some have an automatic palm shot, some don’t) and each one has a special that is unique to its own. You gain points by clearing the rooms faster, and getting better combos, and you use these points to buy suits, which are greatly needed. You can’t shoot while moving, jumping, etc. So you have to use some strategy, since you can only shoot while standing in the middle of the open room vulnerable as hell. But I think it would have made the game WAY too easy if you could shoot while moving. But the Enemy AI isn’t the most intelligent, so you can dispatch enemies pretty easily on easy, but normal they get a bit more pissed off, and they take a lot longer to kill, leaving them more time to shoot you down, which only takes a few to kill you. Sound: Sound is good, nice noises for gun shots, cool techno music, all of it fits well. Over View: Overall, it’s an awesome game, worth every bit of cash. Nothing to really ''wow'' you, other then the female’s body, lol. But it could have even better if they put a but more time into its development, but I really think it’s still a great game coming from Capcom. The game is all about setting your own goals, in order to get the most out of its short play time. Try to beat it on normal with the default, UN powered up suit. Im sure, just that, ill keep you planning for a very long time, since it is a very hard game. Pick it up if your into old school shooters, this is the 3D equivalent to the 2D ones like Metal Slug.
Ok, ok, I know that they say the shooting gets repetitive, and the levels seem to repeat, but from where I stand, P.N.03 is a whole lot more. New challenges and increasingly difficult enemies make the game a good run. ... Read Full Review
